Master of Communication Science
Goals
The Master’s Program in Communication Science targets an increase in on-time graduation with high GPAs and adequate English proficiency, while also promoting research and community service in the fields of strategic communication and media literacy.
Student Academic Affairs
To increase the number of graduates who successfully complete their studies on time, achieve an average GPA of 3.5, and demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 450.
Research
Increasing the quantity and quality of research in the fields of media policy and strategic communication published in conference forums, seminars, and national as well as international journals.
Community Service – Media Literacy
Increasing various community service activities in the form of awareness-raising related to media literacy at the FISIP Undip social laboratory and various other communities in need.
Community Service – Strategic Communication
Increasing various community service activities by providing training related to strategic communication activities (press releases, media relations, and other relevant forms of training).
Strategic Partnerships
Increasing collaboration with national and international stakeholders (industry, government agencies, universities, and relevant institutions) in the fields of education, research, and community service.
Achievement Strategy
The strategy is implemented through rigorous student selection, improving the quality of lecturers and facilities, supporting research and publications, and actively collaborating with various national and international institutions.
Student Recruitment
◉ Increasing the quantity of prospective students by conducting promotions through mass media and other promotional media.
◉ Improving the quality of prospective students by establishing passing grades for the Scholastic Potential Test (TPA) and English proficiency.
Facilities and Infrastructure
◉ Increasing the quantity and quality of study facilities/infrastructure through the use of a dedicated building along with other supporting facilities.
Human Resource Development
◉ Improving the quality of human resources, both lecturers and educational staff, through study assignments and relevant training programs.
Research Support
◉ Providing support for lecturers to participate in scientific activities at the national and international levels in the fields of media policy and strategic communication.
◉ Providing support for lecturers to conduct research on media policy and strategic communication independently or in collaboration with other parties.
◉ Providing support and rewards to lecturers and students who successfully publish their research results in accredited national and international journals.
Community Service
◉ Organizing various community service activities in the form of awareness-raising related to media literacy at the FISIP Undip social laboratory and various other communities in need through outreach activities, discussions, simulations, and workshops.
◉ Providing various community service activities through training and workshops related to strategic communication products such as press releases, media relations, company profiles, conflict resolution, social campaigns, and other relevant forms of training.

◉ Establishing collaboration with national and international stakeholders (industry, government agencies, universities, and relevant institutions) in the fields of education, research, and community service.
